How does it work?

Profhilo works by being precisely injected into the treatment area to tighten, moisturise, and strengthen the skin. The high-strength hyaluronic acid is injected across strategic points where it will gradually disperse. Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water within the deeper layers of the skin. This creates a huge hydration boost.

Is Profhilo painful?

​

The injections sting briefly, but most of our patients generally report only very mild discomfort. The treatment in itself takes 15-20 minutes after a full consultation.

How long does it take for Profhilo to work?

​

Profhilo takes 4-6 weeks to work as the product needs time to spread and stimulate your own collagen and elastin, however, most of our patients start the see the difference after just a few days. At the start of the treatment, you will need to have two induction sessions one month apart then just one session every six months for maintenance.

Side effects of profhilo?

​

Whilst this is very minimal you may experience some redness, swelling, lumps, bruising, and tenderness at the injection points. You will be able to resume back to normal activities straight after. You will be advised to avoid make up for 12-16 hours post treatment. No heat treatments for 24 hours and you will need to apply SPF every day.
